The headquarters building has exclusive areas for conferences, academic research and training. It will serve as the home of IMTA members and an exchange center for international mountain tourism, providing a professional service and exchange and cooperation platform for all members. The IMTA will better integrate the high quality resources of mountain tourism and promote its industrialization.

Since its establishment in 2017, the IMTA has made many achievements in mountain tourism exchanges and cooperation, experience sharing and industry connection. It focuses on constructing a platform to promote cooperation between members or members and other parties. The IMTA has made important contributions to research and assessment of the mountain tourism industry. Brand events such as International Mountain Tourism Day are gradually become important platforms for sharing and cooperation in mountain tourism.

The establishment and operation of the headquarters of the IMTA will further push forward tourism source sharing and enhance the international influence of Guizhou and its capital city Guiyang, attracting more Chinese and overseas visitors to feel the unique charm of Guizhou.
