The Big Data Administration of Guizhou Province recently sent a letter of thanks to Guizhou Business Big Data Technology Ltd, or BBD, a company located in the in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
Zone officials said the thankyou was for BBD's full support for the R & D of the Guizhou Health Code and Guizhou key population social prevention and control support platform, being used to fight the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.
Under the overall planning of the Big Data Administration of Guizhou Province, the Guizhou Health Code is jointly being developed by BBD and Tencent by using big data technology.
It can collect and screen the relevant personal information of residents and automatically generate an exclusive health code to meet their needs for travel and a return to work during the epidemic.
Officials said the Guizhou Health Code system brings together the most complete and authoritative database on key populations for epidemic prevention -- including diagnosed people, suspected people, people under observation, nucleic acid testers, returning people from Hubei province and people under home isolation.
It operates in accordance with the control measures of hospital isolation, centralized isolation, home isolation, self-observation. It employs five colors of purple, red, orange, yellow and green when scanning for a person's health code and giving their medical status.
At the Guizhou key population social prevention and control support platform for the epidemic, menu modules -- such as an outbreak map, dynamic warning and joint prevention and control, which can accurately manage mobile personnel in Guizhou, to achieve epidemic prevention control points.

At present, the cumulative number of service users of the Guizhou Health Code has exceeded 23 million and the cumulative visits have exceeded 300 million.
