The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in the city of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is looking to expand its ties with Guiyang University, including hiring more graduates, expanding research links and resource sharing.
They held a talent day activity at the zone on April 23, with 15 business representatives from the economic zone participating.
The activity was also held to expand effective connections between companies in the economic zone and the university's research teams, promote resource sharing and the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
Guiyang University held talks with business representatives in the areas of big data, specialty foods, biomedicines, smart manufacturing, smart logistics, cultural tourism and new materials.

It was announced that eight experts from various departments of Guiyang University will be sent to resident companies of the zone. They will provide technical development guidance on 3D virtual simulation application software technology, financial risk modeling, construction engineering monitoring, big data tourism products and other fields.
In addition, Guiyang University and Guizhou Weite Food Co negotiated to jointly build a college student practice and training center and a postgraduate student's degree graduate practice and training facility, and they held a signing ceremony during the activity.
