Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone and the Japan-Guizhou friendship association held a symposium on May 27 for in-depth exchanges on areas of cooperation, such as mid-to-high-end manufacturing, new energy, tourism and cold chain logistics.
Chang Wensong, executive deputy secretary of the Party working committee of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, addressed the symposium's attendees. He said that, as a national-level airport economic demonstration zone, Shuanglong will focus on the development of five industrial chains: new energy vehicles, new information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing, and ecological specialty foods.
He said that since its establishment, the Japan-Guizhou friendship association has been committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between Japan and Guiyang in areas such as the economy, trade, culture and tourism.
In recent years, Japan's economic and trade exchanges with Shuanglong have become increasingly close, and a series of cooperation agreements have been reached.
It is hoped that the association will continue to give full play to its role as a platform to attract more Japanese companies and projects to settle in Shuanglong. The economic zone will provide favorable services and a robust business environment, Chang added.
Jin Fei, vice-chairman of the Japan-Guizhou friendship association, introduced the origins of cooperation between the association and the economic zone.
He said that the economic zone's development achievements in recent years are obvious to all, and that enterprises are full of expectations and confidence in the economic zone.
