To further divert rain and sewage and ensure the purity and safety of the region's water, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has carried out the restoration of faulty sections of the sewage pipe network, as well as the inspection of the drainage pipelines.
The investigation identified five faulty sections of sewage pipes in the economic zone, totaling 2.79 square kilometers in length. At present, the manufacturing and installation of replacement pipes has been completed, basically solving the problem of sewage discharges in the areas.
Moreover, the zone put together treatment opinions and technical guidance on the siltation, damage, mixing, leakages, as well as direct discharges of sewage and pipeline corrosion. It has designated responsible departments to be in the charge of the treatment.
Moving forwards, Shuanglong will reportedly continue to carry out surveys, inspections and treatment of the drainage network in accordance with the relevant work arrangements.
It will undertake the complete monitoring and governance of the drainage network, to ensure that the quality of sewage treatment will be significantly improved this year.
