Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – reportedly continues to improve the quality of its education, in the wake of a successful schools construction action plan that began being implemented in 2017.
Currently, the zone is home to 22 schools in different categories, including the Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone No 2 Experimental Primary School and Yunguan Xincheng Middle School.
"At present, preschool education, nine-year compulsory education, high school education, private education and other education systems in the zone have been fully covered," said Xia Lin, director of the zone's cultural and education department.
The zone's current educational resources basically meet the needs of the area, with the only shortcoming being a lack of high-quality public primary and middle schools, Xia added.
Over the next five years, plans are for the zone to fully consider the construction of a 15-minute convenient services life circle, and undertake the construction of six to eight high-quality schools, including Jianlong Primary School and Longteng Middle School.
Meanwhile, on the basis of the existing teaching facilities, the zone will also reportedly actively integrate its educational resources, boost its teaching teams and move to improve teaching levels at all levels.
