During the recent Qingming Festival holiday from April 3-5, more than 600 volunteers from Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone were on duty 24 hours a day fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
The zone is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Volunteer service points have been set up in major shopping malls, supermarkets, scenic spots, hospitals, bus stations, construction sites and other important locations in the zone, spreading awareness of pandemic prevention and control.
According to Chen Cong, the person in charge of Youqianhua, the largest fresh supermarket in the zone, the supply of all fresh food and necessities in the supermarket is sufficient to meet the needs of locals.
In accordance with the requirements of the zone's management department, the supermarket has formulated an emergency response plan to deal with the pandemic, including emergency logistics vehicles, personnel deployment, commodity reserves, and price stability, Chen added.
