Construction on a multi-purpose sports field on Jianlongdong Road in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has recently started and is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of this year.
The Shuanglong zone is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The sports field will give locals a place to engage in cultural, sports, fitness and entertainment activities.
With a total investment of 999,800 yuan ($148,764.98), the sports field consists of ball sports venues, a sport and fitness square, rest areas, green leisure areas and public toilets.
The ball sports venues include one basketball court, one badminton court and two table tennis courts.
The sports and fitness square has 20 sets of fitness facilities, including walkers and elliptical machines, offering something for everyone.
