The museum is an important starting point for Guizhou in its efforts to construct the Long March National Cultural Park.
The museum, with a total area of about 80 mu (5.33 hectares), will adopt the latest digital technologies, such as holographic images, virtual reality, three-dimensional sound field, and mechanical stages, to present a complete narrative of the Long March.

The museum will consist of seven parts: three halls, two theaters, an exhibition area, and a cinema. The highlight of the exterior design of the venue will be the red streamer.
The museum is expected to provide Guizhou and the country with a high-quality platform for revolutionary cultural education and inculcating patriotism.
