The Shoukai Zijun project in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently signed an agreement with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
The two sides will jointly build a five-star hotel in the designated area, which will be managed and operated by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. It is expected to be put into use by the end of 2025.
The hotel will have a total construction area of 54,000 square meters and receive about 840 million yuan ($123.7 million) in investment.
According to the preliminary plan, the hotel is positioned as a high-end conference hotel with a moderate scale, leading facilities and catering services.
It will become a destination for high-end banquets and business meetings and a transit station for eco-tourism and vacations in Guizhou, which will enhance the accommodation industry in the Shuanglong zone.
The Shuanglong zone plans to further increase investment in the mid-to-high-end hotel industry, introduce well-known mid-to-high-end international and domestic hotel brands, optimize the spatial layout, industrial structure and brand structure of the hotel industry, and enhance the consumption and contribution of mid-to-high-end accommodation.
