During this year's Spring Festival travel rush from Jan 7 to Feb 15, the passenger throughput of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is expected to reach 1.73 million, according to Guizhou Airports Group Co.
The airport is located in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The airport's passenger throughput per day is expected to reach an average of 43,000 during the 40-day travel rush, which is the same as that of 2022 and 70 percent of that in 2019.
In order to meet the needs of passengers, the airport plans to increase flights to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Sanya, Quanzhou, Taizhou and other cities.
On Dec 24, 2022, the airport restarted the flight from Guiyang to Bangkok in Thailand, while other international flights are also being resumed in succession.
The resumption of international passenger routes is of great significance for promoting the development of Guizhou's foreign economy, optimizing the business environment, and giving full play to the role of the airport as a regional hub.
