In recent years, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Southwest China's Guizhou province has been working to provide more convenient and comfortable, smarter and safer services for passengers by promoting its digital and intelligent transformation.
The airport's terminal 2 and terminal 3 are equipped with 82 self-service check-in machines, and 14 self-service baggage drop-off counters. Terminal 3 has 20 self-service boarding gates. Using the self-service machines, passengers are able to check in within 3 minutes, shortened from the earlier 15-minute queues at manual counters.
In addition, the two terminals each have one emergency counter to help minimize the risk of passengers missing their flights.
In the airport's transportation operation control center, 18 sets of intelligent systems such as the GIS geographic information system, big data information platform and the terminal video surveillance are highly integrated in the command center hall, like a "smart brain" to optimize the operation process and the management of the terminal area.
Guizhou Airport Intelligent Technology Co has also played a major role in developing a smart airport. Compared to traditional flight information display systems, the airport's comprehensive flight information release platform, independently developed by the company, has the advantages of higher operation and maintenance efficiency at a lower investment cost and with less equipment energy consumption.
The company has obtained 10 software copyrights including for the airport's flight automatic broadcast system.
