The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will launch five themed activities for the upcoming "Cool Guiyang 520 Shopping Festival" on May 19-29.

May 20, or "520", the pronunciation of which sounds similar to "I love you" in Chinese, has boosted the "sweat economy" boom in China.
Some 520,000 products at Sasseur (Guiyang) outlets, the main venues of the shopping festival, will enjoy a 5.2 percent discount, while Guiyang Longdongbao Airport Group, Yebo RT-Mart Supermarket, Easy Home, Taisheng International, BYD, Toyota, and over 10 large-scale housing development companies will also carry out promotional activities.
Regarding tourism, scenic spots and hotels in the zone will launch discounts on tickets and reservations.
In terms of catering and travel, catering companies in the zone will launch set meals, and special tickets and promotions will be provided by China Airlines.
In addition, Shuanglong Eco Sports Park will issue corresponding discounts on swimming events and annual cards for fitness activities such as gym memberships.
After the launch ceremony of the main venue wraps up, the zone will arrange 23 enterprises to set up free exhibitions on the plaza of Sasseur (Guiyang) outlet from May 20 to 29, which will attract more visitors.
