The international cargo center of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Southwest China's Guizhou province has successfully passed inspection by Guizhou Customs and will be put into operation soon.
The acceptance of this international cargo center marks a key achievement in the construction of Guizhou's "one bureau and four centers" project, which is one of the key projects for expanding opening-up and promoting the development of international trade in the province.
The project also serves as a high-level platform for promoting the development of Guizhou's outward-oriented economy and for creating a new hub for opening-up in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
The international cargo center is located adjacent to the east side of the airport. It includes an international mail exchange bureau, an international express center, a bonded logistics center, an international cargo center, and a customs supervisory center.
On June 12, an inspection team from relevant departments of Guiyang Customs held an internal acceptance meeting and provided feedback on the acceptance work. The inspection team recognized the software and hardware construction, security procedures, and disease vector control of the international cargo center, and announced the project to be acceptable.
The international cargo center covers an area of 36,000 square meters including a construction area of 11,000 sq m with 8,000 sq m of warehouse area and a 2,000-sq-m cargo office building area.
It is equipped with radiation detection doors, automatic disinfection and spray systems, and microwave harmless treatment equipment to provide efficient protection for bio-security. The warehouse area is equipped with modern logistics handling equipment, such as lifting panel platforms and belt conveyors, which will greatly improve the capacity and efficiency of handling large cargo planes.
