In recent years, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has insisted on the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".
Through afforestation, the "City of a Hundred Mountains and Thousand Parks" initiative, comprehensive water environment management, and other ecological projects, the zone has established a good ecological environment for high-quality development.
So far, the zone has implemented artificial afforestation and mountain management of 15,000 mu (1,000 hectares), and built 20 parks, two buried sewage treatment plants, 63 kilometers of sewage collection pipelines, 19.59 km of river landscape improvement, and five integrated sewage treatment facilities.

The ecological environment quality in the zone has also been improved, with an air quality compliance rate of over 96 percent, a water environment compliance rate of 100 percent, a sewage treatment rate of over 98 percent, rural domestic wastewater collection rate of 78.2 percent, and zero soil pollution.
It has gradually formed a healthy ecological system based on environmental elements such as forests, green spaces, rivers, and reservoirs.
The zone's healthy ecological environment has injected extra vitality into its development, and created a more comfortable and pleasant living environment for residents.
