Logistics sector sustains expansion in Shuanglong zone

In 2023, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone's saw logistics industry expanded in scale, with market entities growing and collection and distribution capabilities improving.

A complete port logistics service system has now been formed, showing a strong development trend.

The Shuanglong zone's airport modern logistics park currently houses 14 well-known logistics companies, including Bokai Pharmaceutical Logistics Park, Baowan Huaye Smart Logistics Park, Fengtai (SF Express) E-commerce Industrial Park and Moutai Smart Logistics Park.

The Shuanglong zone has strengthened enterprise services and optimized its business environment. Financial policy support has accelerated the implementation of projects under construction and made it easier to start construction on proposed projects.

Throughout the year, the Shuanglong zone's transportation, warehousing and postal industry revenue accounted for 21.1 percent of its GDP, an increase of 4 percentage points year-on-year, driving GDP growth by 6.5 percentage points.

From January to November, the 10 logistics companies above a designated size in the Shuanglong zone achieved revenue of 620 million yuan ($86.6 million), a year-on-year increase of 40.67 percent. These companies are expected to generate a combined revenue of 700 million yuan for the whole year, double the figure in 2022.

There were six new logistics projects under construction in the Shuanglong zone in 2023, with a total investment of 2.45 billion yuan.

The number of people employed in logistics projects reached 3,243, an increase of 845 from 2022 and a year-on-year increase of 35 percent.

In 2023, the Shuanglong zone saw the addition of five logistics companies above a designated size, bringing the total to 13.

In addition, Guizhou Bokai Pharmaceutical Logistics Park, Guiyang Fengtai E-commerce Industrial Park and YTO Guizhou Intelligent Innovation Park were declared as Guizhou Province Green Logistics Parks.
