On May 27, 15 children from the Guiyang Children's Welfare Institute visited the Guizhou Polar Ocean World in Colorful Guizhou City in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
They got up close and personal with marine life and delved into the mysteries of the underwater world, marking the beginning of the Shuanglong zone's 2024 Science and Technology Week.
In addition to science promotion campaigns within scenic areas in the Shuanglong zone, the weeklong event will also feature activities such as project roadshows at schools and science lectures at enterprises.
The project roadshows will invite students and teams from 16 universities in the Shuanglong zone, including Guizhou University, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, and Guiyang University, to submit entrepreneurial projects. The final competition for selected projects is scheduled to take place on May 31.
Events like salons and lectures related to science and technology will also be held.
