The airport maintained a high operational status throughout the summer rush, with a daily throughput of 75,800 passengers. The airport broke the daily passenger throughput record seven times, reaching a peak of 82,400 passengers in a single day.

The airport handled over 4.78 million passengers, marking a 16.03-percent increase from 2023 and a 13.57-percent increase from 2019, far exceeding previous forecasts.

The airport was also bustling with air cargo. July and August are peak seasons for transporting summer fresh agricultural products like Guizhou honey plums, yellow peaches, and porcini mushrooms by air.

Coupled with this travel season's tourism boom in Guizhou province, local specialty products saw a surge in sales. Exports of Guizhou's unique agricultural products, such as potato chips, chili peppers, and rice noodles, were particularly impressive.

Guizhou Civil Aviation Industry Group Co handled a total cargo throughput of 12,203 metric tons during the summer rush.
