The Liduanfen Jianlong School of No 1 High School of Guiyang, in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, held its opening ceremony for the 2024 academic year on Sept 1. The ceremony welcomed its first batch of teachers and students and marked its official opening.
In accordance with the requirements of the nine-year compulsory education system, the school features teaching buildings, offices, laboratories, and a cafeteria, as well as a 6,000-square-meter playground equipped with basketball courts, a football field, a badminton court, and a 300-meter running circuit.
The spacious and bright classrooms have reclining desks and chairs to ensure students can rest well during lunchtime. With a simple adjustment of the backrest and a footrest pulled out from under the desk, a convenient "bed" is ready within seconds for students to rest.
The school offers 1,620 elementary and 1,500 junior high positions within 36 elementary and 30 junior high classes.
The school not only meets the educational needs of children from nearby newly built residential areas but also plays a vital role in optimizing the layout of compulsory education schools in the Shuanglong zone, promoting educational revitalization and driving the development of surrounding real estate.
