A delegation from the Zunyi Free Trade Zone visited the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone for a special inspection and held several forums, focusing on deepening cross-regional cooperation and boosting the development of the inland open economy.
During the inspection, the delegation visited the cross-border e-commerce industrial park in Shuanglong and learned in detail about its operational model, the outcomes of industrial agglomeration, and the development of a full-chain service system.
The park has gathered more than 30 cross-border e-commerce enterprises and supporting service providers, building a complete industrial service ecosystem. To date, it has held more than 80 foreign trade-themed activities of various types and trained over 8,100 professional talents in cross-border e-commerce, providing sufficient talent support for the development of foreign trade in Shuanglong.
During the forum, Shuanglong introduced the development of its open economy. Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), it has launched a total of seven international cargo routes. In 2025, 659 all-cargo aircraft flights were operated, with the cargo and mail throughput reaching 7,732 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 28.28 percent.
After in-depth exchanges, the two parties reached a number of important cooperation agreements: establishing a regular collaboration mechanism to advance policy connectivity, resource sharing, and mutual learning of experiences; strengthening the development of cross-border e-commerce channels and business coordination to upgrade and expand the scale of cross-border e-commerce models; promoting the complementary advantages of port functions, integrating air and land logistics resources to build a multimodal transport logistics network spanning the southwest and connecting with the RCEP; and enhancing two-way promotion for open development and win-win cooperation.
The two parties will seize the strategic opportunity presented by Guizhou's development as a new inland economic hub, foster a new pattern of coordinated development, and inject stronger momentum into the high-quality development of the province's open economy.
