Single-day passenger traffic at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport during the Spring Rush peaked at 80,269 on Feb 22, exceeding the 80,000 mark for the first time on record.

The previous peak in terms of single-day passenger volume at the airport during the Spring Rush stood at 76,013, a feat achieved on Feb 15, 2024. As such, the latest figure represents a substantial increase over historical highs.
To ensure efficient passenger travel, the airport increased flights to cities including Zhengzhou, Wenzhou, and Wuhan. It also coordinated with airlines to optimize capacity deployment, assigning twin-aisle wide-body aircraft to routes such as Sanya and Lanzhou. Popular travel destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Haikou.
