Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport handled a total of 2.7 million passengers during the 2026 Spring Rush from Feb 2 to March 13, a year-on-year increase of 9.18 percent.

On Feb 22, single-day passenger throughput exceeded 80,000, setting a new single-day record for the Spring Rush. The airport recorded 19,100 takeoffs and landings, up 6.78 percent year-on-year. Cargo and mail throughput reached 12,300 metric tons, up by 17.84 percent, with new Spring Festival single-day cargo records set on Feb 8 and 9.
The airport strengthened safety and service supervision, provided special care for priority passenger groups, improved transfer service efficiency, and optimized luggage dispatching mechanisms. The average waiting time for passengers' first checked baggage was shortened to less than 8.5 minutes, while the flight departure punctuality rate reached 93.07 percent.
In cooperation with SF Express, the airport launched a four-hour direct baggage delivery service, covering core areas in Guiyang, including Yunyan district and Nanming district.
The airport also introduced Guizhou specialties such as sour soup beef. In Terminal 3, the coffee brand Captain George has opened, enriching the terminal's dining options to cater to the diverse tastes of passengers.

The airport will review its Spring Rush travel support efforts, consolidate effective experiences and practices, innovate service models, and fully implement safety and service improvements. It will continue to optimize the route network, providing passengers with more convenient, efficient, and welcoming services.
