International passenger throughput at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport reached 65,700 in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 9.95 percent, with the airport handling a total of 5.4 million trips, up 6.13 percent, and launching 13 international and regional routes.

The airport's passenger throughput reached 80,269 during the Spring Rush on Feb 22, setting a new record for single-day volume. Cargo and mail throughput reached 27,400 metric tons, up 11.39 percent.
The airport has handled a total of 265,492 transfer passengers, up 17.3 percent, and added five new through-transfer airports, including Xuzhou, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Shanghai Pudong, bringing the total number of through-transfer airports to 31, further enhancing the airport's transfer service capacity.
The airport has also introduced pet shipping services and partnered with SF Express to launch a 4-hour direct, door-to-door baggage delivery service covering Guiyang's core areas.
