Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has secured the National Civilized City title again, marking its fifth straight win.
On May 18, as part of the 2025 China Tourism Day City Relay, Guizhou launched a grand ethnic unity parade in Guiyang, featuring 26 formations and nearly 3,600 participants.
Guiyang's airport-based national logistics hub has been included in China's national hub development list, marking the first time the zone has earned a national-level designation in modern logistics.
This year, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will champion its city brand, "Cool Guiyang – Wonderful Nights".

From January to May, Guizhou Liangji Pharmaceutical Co in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone achieved a production value of 145.16 million yuan ($20.24 million), a year-on-year increase of 44.5 percent. Its revenue was 117.28 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.38 million yuan.
In preparation for the 2025 school year enrollment, Huang Minghai, a service specialist at Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone's "Enterprise Home", has been working closely with companies in the zone's advanced equipment manufacturing industrial park to help employees' children secure local school placements.
The Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce recently announced its 2025 list of provincial-level commercial pedestrian streets, urban business districts, and nighttime consumption zones, with 12 locations selected in Guiyang, Guizhou's capital.
